About Kinsmen Activity Place (KAP)Who we are:Introduction: The Consortium KAP (Kinsmen Activity Place) Kinsmen Activity Place, (KAP) began as a consortium between the Saskatoon Tribal Council, Communities for Children Saskatoon, The Core Neighborhood Youth Coop, (CNYC), The Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon, plus support from Habitat for Humanity, The Saskatoon City Police, and other stakeholders in the Community. Together this original consortium and newer members are attempting to provide a range of creative programming and direct linkages for children/youth and their families in Saskatoon between this location (226 Ave V S), and off site locations such as CNYC workshop on 20th Street and other opportunities in the community. Our tenants currently are: the Youth Gang prevention group called STR8-UP, the Boys and Girls Club of Saskatoon, CRU (Teen Community Resources for You) , International Women Of Saskatoon, and Child and Youth Friendly Saskatoon. All services are located in the KAP site, and all eager to work together and provide supports for the children, youth and their families in our community This project has evolved and grown over the last few years. This growth has been made possible because of the input from the people and groups of the Core Neighbourhoods who want to see their community become a secure and healthy place in which all people want to live. To achieve this, this consortium believes that youth ( and their families) of all ages need more options to connect to community / recreation, life skills development and fun projects that will help everyone learn new skills. The web site is currently being remodeled, so we've dropped back down to a pretty bare page for now. Contact
